Fooling Thermal Infrared Pedestrian Detectors in Real World Using Small Bulbs

چکیده

Thermal infrared detection systems play an important role in many areas such as night security, autonomous driving, and body temperature detection. They have the unique advantages of passive imaging, sensitivity penetration. But security these themselves has not been fully explored, which poses risks applying systems. We propose a physical attack method with small bulbs on board against state of-the-art pedestrian detectors. Our goal is to make detectors unable detect real-world pedestrians. Towards this goal, we ?rst showed that it possible use two kinds patches detector based YOLOv3. The average precision (AP) dropped by 64.12% digital world, while blank same size caused AP drop 29.69% only. After that, designed manufactured successfully attacked YOLOv3 real world. In recorded videos, target 34.48%, 14.91% With ensemble techniques, had good transferability unseen

Real Time Pedestrian Tracking using Thermal Infrared Imagery

In the study, a real time pedestrian tracking algortithm is presented using thermal infrared imagery. It makes use of the characteristics of pedestrian body regions in infrared images, which is based on a particle filter framework. The method constructs the regions of interest's (ROI) histogram representation in an intensity-distance projection space model, so as to hurdle the disadvantage of i...

Thermal Infrared Pedestrian Image Segmentation Using Level Set Method

The edge-based active contour model has been one of the most influential models in image segmentation, in which the level set method is usually used to minimize the active contour energy function and then find the desired contour. However, for infrared thermal pedestrian images, the traditional level set-based method that utilizes the gradient information as edge indicator function fails to pro...

Pattern Recognition Seminar Real-World Pedestrian Detection

In this paper, we address the challenging task of pedestrian detection. The topic keyword Real-World should be noted as a synonym for a realistic detection environment (e.g. real-time, robustness, occlusions). We present some basic approaches for urban human detection and refine them to a suitable solution. We then discuss problems of detectors with common scene conditions and introduce an dete...

PTB-TIR: A Thermal Infrared Pedestrian Tracking Benchmark

Thermal infrared (TIR) pedestrian tracking is one of the most important components in numerous applications of computer vision, which has a major advantage: it can track the pedestrians in total darkness. How to evaluate the TIR pedestrian tracker fairly on a benchmark dataset is significant for the development of this field. However, there is no a benchmark dataset. In this paper, we develop a...

Robust Pedestrian Detection by Combining Visible and Thermal Infrared Cameras

With the development of intelligent surveillance systems, the need for accurate detection of pedestrians by cameras has increased. However, most of the previous studies use a single camera system, either a visible light or thermal camera, and their performances are affected by various factors such as shadow, illumination change, occlusion, and higher background temperatures. To overcome these p...
